The Whitsundays are on Queensland's Tropical coast, about 1.5 hours north of Mackay and 3 hours south of Townsville.  The Whitsundays are served by the township of Airlie Beach, and consist of 74 islands over about a 100 mile area.

Blue Pearl Bay, our preferred destination, is on Hayman Island, 16 nautical miles (about 30km) north/north-east of Airlie, across Whitsunday Passage. The Whitsunday Islands are part of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park.
